Relationship Creative Fun Ideas

Add Spice and Romance to Your Relationship
by Phone or Email

You are in love? Congratulations!

If you are in a serious relationship with someone you’ve met online, or if you are engaged or married and you spend a lot of time apart, you probably feel disconnected sometimes.

It isn’t always easy to keep the romance in a long-distance relationship, and the less frequently you see each other, the harder it is to keep the romance alive!
If you aren’t a ‘plan ahead’ kind of person, it is even harder to ensure that your lover or spouse knows you are thinking about them. Not to worry.

With a little creativity and the resources provided by the information highway, you can keep in touch and remind your partner that you are a ‘couple’, even if you don’t get to spend a lot of time together.
Use your phone and your computer to keep in touch!

By Phone:

Call the house or your partner’s cell phone and leave a message.

Tell them to pick up an item you ordered for them before you left. Give them the name of the store and the person to see and tell them when the store closes. They will be thrilled to pick up the item, even if it isn’t expensive. It is a great way to surprise your partner!

Send them on a scavenger hunt, calling every day to give them things to look for in the house.

Tell them you want them to find all the items before you return and if they do, be sure to plan a great surprise for them when you get back.

When you get home plan a nice dinner, or a romantic evening in front of the fire, or just share a glass of wine and have him tell you the story of how he looked for and found the items you hid.

Leave your partner a message with the name of a book of poems to get at the library.

Give your partner the name of the poem or the page number and let them go get the book and read the poem you are ‘sending them’ long distance.

Leave your partner a message with the name of a movie that will be on TV or one you want them to rent at the video store and watch.

Tell them what you love about the movie that reminds you of your partner, or the part of the movie that you watched together and loved.

Just pick up the phone and call your partner when you know they will be home or at their desk at work. Just say ‘hello’ and ‘I love you’. It means EVERYTHING.

By Computer:

Agree on a time you will both be online and IM or open a chat with your partner, sending romantic pictures or notes.

Have a friend take pictures of you, or take a ‘timed’ picture of yourself. An inexpensive digital camera is a great tool for exchanging photos online.

You can take a picture of yourself at work, at play or in locations you both love and write silly or romantic captions. Send the pictures by email or during an IM session.

Or post them on a free online photo gallery and send your partner the link.

Send ‘free’ online email cards with romantic messages.

Send a sound file with a copy of a song you both love or a romantic song you want your partner to hear.

Send an email ‘diary’ every day with your thoughts from the day and the places or times you thought about your spouse or partner.

Send links to websites with beautiful pictures or love poems or quotes about love.

We call This "Happy Romance" --

Be Creative in Love and your Relationship will Last!

To a warm and caring partnership...

New to Online Dating?

Growing Online Dating Relationships

Just like regular real-world relationships, online relationships need tending, to grow over time. Here are some quick growing tips.

1. Take time and make time. Does your online date get in touch with you regularly? Do you do the same? Neglecting virtual meetings can be considered abuse or neglect, so treat each other’s time with respect. If it’s lacking, might mean time to move on.

2. Communication needs to “feel” right for both of you. If one of you is too pushy about meeting, for instance, that can give off bad vibes. So don’t rush. Take time to learn more about each other and develop trust.

3. Respect each others privacy. Don’t share personal email addresses or digital photos online, for example, if your online date sent you the information in confidence.

4. Share special online and offline fun times. Online – send greeting cards, links to favorite places to upload digital photos of your favorite pet, download music and video clips, post on favorite forums of interest. Offline- if you’re exchanging addresses or post office boxes, send print greeting cards and postcards, small items from your area (like a key chain with your state bird).

Tend your online relationship. Water it with care and over time it can sprout and grow. Remember you do have Choices and set Your Personal Bounderies clearly!

Unconditional Love

Unconditional Love

When I was young and had a few pets like a dog and a cat - I noticed that no matter what bad things you did that effected your pets like ignoring them or getting mad at them — they always kept giving me the same amount of loving and comfort. I asked an elderly gentleman in our neighborhood one day why my pets are like that. He explained to me in a very comforting tone of voice - “Young man, it is called Unconditional Love and it is one of the hardest things for humans to do with their fellow man and in relationships.” He went on to explain that if I ever wanted to give my future special girl or wife in my life the most special gift in the world - it would not be money or any material things, it would be “Unconditional Love”. But he warned me that almost everyone that tries usually fails because it means always giving the same amount of support and love to our partner no matter what. And no matter what they do or how hard times get - we are only human and weak so we forget the unconditional love part and just react with emotions and feelings that may be in the form of anger or unhappiness.

We are not talking about someone being abusive to you - emotionally or physically - we are talking about everyday life and all the individual traits, habits, quirks that we all have that manage to upset or irritate others around us. When you have had a bad day and your dog or cat rubs you and kisses you and gives all that affection - you immediately feel more relaxed and the stress level drops. They don’t care what you may have done or said that was not nice that day - they just want you to know that they are there for you and love you no matter what!

Wow! Offering to give Unconditional love to another human being is a very big challenge and even if you fail - the secret is to keep trying and watch to see how your partner reacts and changes when you are together. You don’t have to explain or let them know what you are giving to them from your heart and soul - you just have to keep offering it as a very big portion of the giving part of the “Give & Take” we should be doing in any relationship.

Give it a try even if you test yourself for a week or more and see what happens in your relationship. Instead of any words that may give it away, just try a few extra hugs, caresses, and comforting-supportive words now and then.

Good Luck with the most special gift you can ever offer your soulmate!

Who Deserves Your Love?

We all have love to give. It is a natural thing.

The hard part is finding that special someone
who can see the

love within you without you even having to express it.
How you smile, your touch, how you act
when you are with someone

that you feel a warm connection with. That is when the one
that deserves you will see the real you.
They will see within your soul

and loving heart. No words need to be said. You just know!
And they should and will know if it is meant to be.

Hugs from :)
